May is National Stroke Awareness Month!

Do you know how to recognize a “Stroke”?  Use the F.A.S.T. exam!

F- Face: Is there drooping of one side of the face? Can the person smile equally on both sides?

A-Arms: With eyes closed, hold the arms fully outstretched for 5 seconds. If one drops, CALL

S-Speech: Have them repeat “You can’t teach an old dog new tricks”. If they slur the R, S or T, CALL

T-Time: When was the last time these signs did not exist and CALL 911 FAST! Time is of the essence!
